The New Light Project
My journey with shelter pets began right here in my hometown with Garland Pawsibilities. I volunteered my time training and bathing dogs, and taking them out to local spots on adoption days to help them get noticed. Over time, I found a way to combine my passion for photography with my love for animals, capturing portraits of adoptable pets across DFW, with proceeds going back to local rescues. Together, we’ve raised over $2,200 to support animal shelters and rescue organizations.
Today, that effort has grown into the New Light Project, a program dedicated to showcasing adoptable pets in a whole new light. Through bright, personality filled portraits, we help these deserving animals stand out and connect with families looking to adopt. We’ve photographed pets at Grand Prairie Animal Services and Adoption Center, as well as foster dogs with Dallas Pets Alive. Through this project, I’ll continue capturing portraits that help foster and shelter dogs stand out and find their forever families!
